Affordable Homestay Stay in Bali: TwoSpaces Living at Bunga Desa, Jimbaran
When travelers think of Jimbaran, Bali, they usually imagine golden sandy beaches, fresh seafood feasts by the shore, and a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. On our recent trip, we wanted something more authentic than a big resort, so we booked a homestay in Jimbaran through Agoda. Our choice? TwoSpaces Living at Bunga Desa, Jimbaran—a cozy, affordable stay that surprised us in the best ways.
Why We Chose TwoSpaces Living at Bunga Desa
While browsing for affordable places to stay in Jimbaran, this property stood out because of its:
Budget-friendly rates – perfect for travelers who want comfort without overspending.
Homestay vibe – we were looking for something more homey and authentic.
Great location – close to Jimbaran Beach but away from the noisy crowds.
Booking through Agoda was smooth and convenient (and yes, we used our exclusive Agoda promo code OOOWANDERS for extra discounts).
First Impressions
When we arrived at TwoSpaces Living at Bunga Desa, we immediately loved the peaceful and traditional Balinese atmosphere. The property has a garden-style layout, carved wooden doors, and rustic details surrounded by greenery. Instead of feeling like a typical hotel, it felt like staying at a local friend’s villa—a refreshing change for us.
Our Room
We initially booked the Deluxe Double Room, but to our surprise, the staff upgraded us to a Deluxe Triple Loft Room—what a win! 🎉
Here’s what made it special:
Upper floor – 1 double bed and 1 single bed, ideal for friends, couples, or small families.
Lower floor – a spacious living area, a small kitchen, and a private bathroom.
Balcony – overlooking the street, perfect for sipping coffee or people-watching in the morning.
The loft-style setup made it feel like we had our own mini townhouse in Jimbaran—functional, comfortable, and unique compared to standard hotel rooms.
The Cons
No place is perfect, so here are some downsides we experienced:
The bathroom toilet attachment was broken during our stay, which made the toilet move and caused some smell issues. Hopefully, this has already been fixed.
The room lighting was dim, though you can open the windows to let natural sunlight in. If you prefer bright indoor lighting, this might be a minor hassle.
Amenities and Common Areas
What we loved about this Jimbaran homestay was the communal vibe. The property has a shared kitchen and lounging area, giving us the chance to prep coffee, store snacks, or meet other travelers. It really felt like living in a small traveler’s community instead of just checking into a room.
